Did I ever tell you that I went through this phase where I wanted to be an astronomer?
I could think of nothing more interesting (at the time) than sitting in front of a telescope or computer screen probing the deepest darkest parts of our galaxy for new and unseen phenomena.
The idea still grips me and when my nephew showed an interest in all things Milky Way I was right on board.
This little ring is a result of my astronomical obsession.
A tiny piece of rutilated rose cut quartz is the head of the comet.
I chose the piece of quartz with the most little black threads to reflect the deep dark color of empty space.
A silver tail shoots from the back giving the comet its wings.
A slim size 7 silver band set slightly askew lets you wear your comet in one of two ways:
Banking low to skim planetary gravity....
Or flying high at the tail end of an elliptical orbit that spans galaxies.
I'm not officially listing it in my store.
However, if you're interested in owning your own planetary piece, you can contact me here.
I hope you enjoy your Labor Day!
Oh wow - this is fabulous! What a great design and one that caught my eye - love the detail!
