Bead Soup - Procrastination Central

I should have posted this a looong time ago, but I'm just now getting around to it.
Here are the shots of the soups I got from my paht-nuh, Ms. Lori "Queen of the Soup" Anderson.
She sent me two different color combos of beady goodness.
The first is right up my alley, aqua blues and emerald greens with aventurine rounds and a clasp from Melinda Orr. Gorgeous!

The second soup has me stumped.
Why?
One word.
Pink.
In case you're new around here, pink isn't exactly my cup o' tea and I'm completely stumped as to what to do with it.
This combo has some ceramic goodness from Earthenwood Studios and Marsha Neal.
This will be interesting to say the least. Though it should make a great gift, my mom is constantly asking for pink, but it's so hard to just start working in a color combo that you're not comfortable with, but we shall try....

If you're not participating in the soup, I hope you'll still stop by to see everyone's creations.
Lori is hosting it, and you can visit her blog here for the link to all the participants this round!
Enjoy your weekend!

  2. I love the crackled glass pendants - I have one myself. And I can see your thing with the pink ;-). I also just posted about it yesterday - shame on me. Curious to see what you will make. Nicki

  3. What gorgeous soup! Seems to be you've been up that pink soup road before! Maybe a little tangerine tango in with the pink... I can wait to see what you create.

  4. I really like pink. One of my favorite pink color combos is pink, black, and silver- classic 50's colors.

I am looking forward to the blog hop. I am sure you will come up with something both you and your mom will love.

  6. HA! You don't have to use both soups if you don't want, of course! And I did to you what Libby Leuchtman did to me for the first party -- she asked what style of lampwork I didn't like so much, and she sent exactly that! Who knows, you will maybe attract a new customer to your shop with it!

(And I'm having the same issues with the colors for both of my soups from you and Rebecca! Quite fun, though!)

  7. Oooo, I love them both. One suggestion is the combine your soups and then decide what to make. Spreads the pink wealth :-) Of course, if you are totally stumped just send it all to me!!!
