Margie and Me - #105. La Boca

I've been wanting to do a Latin American palette since I started the Margie and Me series. I've spent some time in Mexico and Guatemala and I was immediately caught by the amazing colors they got goin' on down there.
It's really hard for me though because I don't tend to do saturated colors really well, and that seems to be the trend.
I've chosen # 105, La Boca from Buenos Aires, Argentina. This place is on my list of places to visit. I don't know if I'll ever get there, but ya' never know...I never thought I would have visited the Parthenon, but that door opened this year, so we'll see.
Anyway, La Boca...italian immigrant neighborhood in Buenos Aires, working class, and from what I gather, was generally a seedy place. Also, had a lot to do with the birth of Tango which is one of the best dances ever.
There are a million colors in this place, but Margie narrows her selection down to a soft blue with a strong punch of hot pink and grass green. Think the picture above and shove your "saturation" bar all the way to the right. This one is gonna be fun people and oh, so, summery.

Okay, last thing....I'm leaving all the prices in my shop at %20 off today (mostly because I'm not gonna have time to change them until tonight!) so that means that the Thank You Sale is extended un dia mas.. (one more day!) I hope you'll check out some of the goodies.
Have a great Monday!

  1. I've visited Oaxaca Mx a lot in the past, have dozens of photos like yours with the most amazing color combos..i always wondered if it's a random selection, like whatever was on sale when the trim needed painting,or did the person just love a certain color and wanted to see it for a change, the colors are so wild and unexpectedly combined.
