Marcie, been there many times. It does get better with practice. It takes time to understand the flame and the heat required to make the solder flow. I can't tell you how many times I have dug into my scrap pile and recreated a mess into something beautiful. Keep it simple and you will succeed.
Oh I hear you about having those frustrating days. You are truly amazing though...just look at how far you have come. Don't be so hard on yourself... you're making beautiful jewelry - it is clear to see.
Don't worry about it..... tomorrow will be another day and You will think to how to do it...sometimes I wake up with the wrong leg....kiss...

ReplyDeletePractice, practice, practice! You will need to practice some techniques 100 times before you feel comfortable with them.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for solder not flowing...clean metal, perfect seam, sufficient flux and lots of heat! :-)
Keep going, you're doing great!
