Big Winner!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the giveaway!
But thank you most of all for your honest answers about bead embroidery and your thoughts on cuffs, collars, etc...
It was interesting to read what you all had to say about the kind of embroidery that interests you and the kind that you like to make.
It really got me thinking about what I know about bead embroidery...
who knows, you may see a few tutorials in the future on bead embroidery (maybe video?).

Okay, on to the good stuff.
I used the trusty random generator to get the number of the winner this morning and a big congratulations to....

Karyn of Releases by Rufydoof!!!

Congrats Karyn!!
Shoot me an e-mail or an etsy convo with your address and your book (well, your sister's book!) will be on it's way in no time!

Again, thanks to everyone who took the time to really give me some great feedback about bead embroidery and also to those who were so awesome about giving me feedback when I asked a couple of weeks ago about kits.
I just don't have time to thank each and every one personally, so this will have to do.
I've been super busy this week, so unfortunately there's no Tutorial for this Wednesday, but things should be a tad slower next week, and we'll be back to normal programming!
Enjoy your Wednesday!

  1. Oh that is awesome for Karyn! I know she will be so happy! Congrats girl!

  2. Ohhh thank you so much! My sister is going to be so surprised when I send this to her. I thought I'd do up a little package for her with a cab, felt, suede, beads etc so she has everything she needs to make a simple pendant to get her started.

    Thanks again!!

  3. Congrats to Karyn!
Marcie, I'd love to see you go in the teaching direction, especially if you can somehow teach a newbie like me. :-) I'd love to incorporate some very basic (and I mean basic) bead stitches in my work. I tried a bit in a collaborative piece that is in the new BAJ - and it is so meager. I had no idea what type of thread and needle to use even, but I gave it a go! :-) A kit for TOTAL newbies, please! :-)
