Margie and Me - Gale Force - Part 2

If you remember, last week, I chose Gale Force as my challenge palette from Margie's book. This was probably the most difficult color palette I've worked with yet. I'm not sure why. Black, gray, desaturated blue, it seemed so easy.

Boy, was I wrong. After racking my brain, I finally decided to go with the idea of a tornado and I created some of these little beaded beads which have this beautiful cyclone shape. I used all sorts of blacks, transparent grays, some silver and that gorgeous desaturated blue that Margie was talking about. I used to live in Tornado Alley and we would have one tornado after the other during the spring. That was definitely behind my decision to line them up on a bracelet one after the other!

Also, I've placed some new work in the shop today, and I'll be taking some old stuff out tomorrow. First up is Paper Flower Ring. It's a tiny flower made from itty bitty cuts of paper sealed in resin.

The second is a beadwoven pendant called The Shield. It's a mix of AB metallic and gunmetal gray seed beads with hematite rounds.

Third, is a little glamour. Purple Sparkly Wheels is a modern take on an old beadweaving design. These necklaces with the little wheels lined side by side are in right now, and this is my version of the trend.

Last but not least, I listed my Royalty Ring in Roccoco. It's a glamourous mix of metallic bronze, soft pink, and shiny peach.

Finally, remember today is the last day for my SALE!! I will be getting rid of all my Sale listings tomorrow, including my beaded beads! Please stop by and grab what you like.
Have a great weekend!
