Out of a rut...

I worked all week last week to finish the Medallion tutorial, and didn't pick up the first bead to actually create something new, so I was super excited when yesterday I was given a little time to just play around with beads.
The results?
First up was this pendant with an African/Safari feel to it. I think I was still feeling a little Temperance Brennan on this one.

It's a little outside my norm, but I love the shape and the center slice was just begging to become a pendant. I've also been enjoying using the picot edging around the outside, gives this one a look that's a little more salvaje if you know what I mean. ;) The Desert Safari Pendant is in my shop.

Along with this sparkly but classic black and silver teardrop pendant. This stone has such a great foil finish. I think it's perfect for a New Year's fiesta, it's here if you'd like to see more pics.

Also, here's the picture of the Light Lavender Version of my Bead Woven Medallion Pendant that I had promised. (The skies finally cleared up a little today!)
Thank you also guys, for those of you that purchased my tutorial yesterday after I released it, I'm very close to hitting a huge milestone in my little shop, thanks for being a part of that!

Okay, finally, I promised I'd show you the prize packs for the Margie and Me Color Throwdown, so here they are! This first prize pack will be the randomly drawn prize pack that will be won by someone just for entering the contest. I call this the Sea and Sky prize pack. I tried to stick to light, airy colors and finishes. Some of these beads are brand new that I picked out just for this contest, and some are from my personal stash.

For the People's Choice winner, I chose a palette that I'm calling Earth. It's a mix of rusts, turquoises, deep reds and metallics.
But, the best news? The People's Choice Winner will also receive....
A FREE copy of Margie Deeb's Spring Color Report!
Yep, I contacted the Color Queen herself and she so graciously agreed to e-mail the winner a copy of the Spring color report when it is released in February!
I'm also gonna throw in a little something and offer the People's Choice Winner a FREE tutorial from my shop! Any tutorial you'd like!
I hope you guys are as excited as I am, and thanks so much for playing along, spread the word and we'll see how many Margie and Me'ers we can get to play along.

Don't forget to get the Color Throwdown Collage that I put up in my last post to add to your blog.
Okay, last thing....
This is my sale item for the day. I've taken $10 off this cuff for Christmas. It's in my shop here, and no worries, it'll go out in the mail tomorrow if you purchase today.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
