This month, I joined Artbeads blogger program and was so excited to focus on the Pantone colors for this fall. If you haven't seen the colors, you can check them out here.
I decided to go with Lagoon and Golden Glow. My obsession with these colors actually started about two months ago when I purchased Mosaic Turquoise for the first time. (the colors are amazing)
So, now I had my colors, and I started thinking about a technique that I wanted to pursue.
It's been so long since I've done any brick stitch, and when I saw this gorgeous copper ring in the findings section of Artbeads.com, I knew what I wanted to do.
So, I chose some gorgeous seed beads in the most stunning shiny aquas and golden topaz colors and then raided the glass beads section to add a bunch of faceted czech rounds to the mix.
Got my brick stitch on, and the result is a little shimmer and shine with enough Lagoon and Golden Glow to be a Pantone poster child.
I know what you're thinking and yes, it is a little more bling than I usually do, but the beads lined up so well (which is what I can usually acheive with bead embroidery) that it really spoke to my beader OCD.
I think I'm gonna wear it today....assuming I can find something to match it. I've also listed it here in my shop if you'd like to take a closer look.
By the way, tomorrow is Margie and Me reveal day! I'm soooooo excited, are you?!
